ABOUT PHYLLIS DUNSETH

Biography She trained originally in stain-glass design, fine art practice and history of art. Studied for her Masters in Fine Art more recently but has continued to keep abreast with new technologies in glass. In 2009 she completed a Postgraduate certificate in architecture and glass at Central St.Martins School of Art and Design, London. Exhibitions Her solo shows have extended all over the British Isles from North Wales, the Western Isles, Leicester and Cambridge. In 2012 she won on-line representation after the Chelsea International Painting Competition in New York and was offered a solo show there following that. Her work can be seen in Minneapolis in the form of a glass installation. Influences Artists of the past,Fra Angelico, Velasquez, Rembrandt, as well as interwar painters. Glass artists such as Marc Chagall and Amber Hiscott who combine glass with sculpture and poetic ideas. Gillian Dobson introduces a kinetic element..to her big shard-like installations which when situated in large church buidings have tremendous presence. New Artwork During Lockdown the artist has produced 2 books of art and poetry.
